The objective is to provide attendees with practical experience in the design and development of applications for the rapidly emerging Android market. The presenters are professional software developers with a particular interest in Android and other mobile computing environments. The workshop series is designed to be complementary to the highly regarded iPhone based courses run previously by SAW Aberystwyth, and will lead you through typical Android hardware configurations, use of sensor input and the Android development environment before moving on to the hands-on development of sample applications.

Whether you are an existing software developer - or are new to this innovative field but have some programming experience and want to see what opportunities Android development could give your business you are welcome to join us at this event – which is free of charge to those living or working within the convergence area*. Note that any travel and accommodation costs must be borne by the participant. A wide range of hotel and other accommodation is available in Aberystwyth, and we can help suggest options if required.
