The information stored on digital devices is increasingly becoming the target of crime mostly for financial gain. The methods used to commit computer crime usually leave some items of evidence behind on the digital device whether a computer, laptop, phone, USB flash drive, etc. Digital analysis is the process of investigation which is undertaken to try to identify these evidence items and to find out how the crime was committed, by whom and when.

Topics covered on this course will include types of digital evidence, the challenges of digital analysis, computer forensic tools and applications.

This is an introductory course which assumes little prior knowledge of the subject matter and is aimed at those seeking to update their knowledge of computer crime and digital analysis and safeguard their businesses.
